Why Apex Health Liverpool?
At Apex Health Liverpool, we aim to complement the brilliant work the NHS provides in areas which we understand are increasingly difficult to access. We offer expertise, experience and integrity. Our priority is and will always remain to provide the highest levels of care for our patients and families, whether this is with continued monitoring of general health, bespoke health checks or minor surgeries.

Your time is precious, and with ever increasing time pressures and healthcare access being challenging, we can offer timely and expert input to your health to offer prompt solutions and peace of mind.

Quality is our priority, so we uniquely work with local consultants in the Royal University Hospital. This means your histology samples are seen and dealt with by local experts, who we have direct contact with.
2
Will my NHS GP be informed?
We would routinely advise it is best practice to communicate with your existing NHS GP. However, if you choose not to then we would keep your consultation confidential and no information is shared. You choose how you would want your data to be handled; your choice is our priority.

All of your results are confidentially received and stored on our specialist software and is not shared with anyone outside of the clinicians at Apex Health Liverpool.
3
Minor Surgery - where are my samples sent?
We have exclusively partnered with the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and work with two leading Liverpool based Consultant Histopathologists. By working with local specialists, we can ensure if further care is required, this can be organised effectively and efficiently. We can also discuss your case directly with our consultant colleagues which we feel is a vital aspect of our care.

Your tissue sample is taken directly to the Royal Liverpool Hospital direct from Rodney Street, and processed by the Consultants. We aim to have resuts in 7-10 days.
4
What if I don't have the minor surgery?
If after review, a shared plan is made not to proceed to surgery (for example you choose not to, or we feel your treatment would be best placed elsewhere) then you will only be charged for the minor surgery consultation fee of £50.

The best way to avoid this would be to contact us beforehand via the website, and provide us with as much information as possible
5
What follow-up arrangements are made with health checks?
After your initial consultation and tests, you will be provided with a bespoke health check report, with advice where appropriate. You can follow-up with our GPs after, and this will be charged at the usual rate.
6
Where do I go for the bood tests?
Our Doctors perform all the blood, urine and swab tests in clinic so you can have peace of mind that you will have rapid access to results.
7
What if I need to see a specialist?
If there is a clinical need for you to see a specialist, we can organise referrals for you. You can be referred to private providers, as well as referring into NHS services directly from our clinic. This means you do not need to go to your NHS GP to request ongoing referrals.
8
Can I request specific tests?
At Apex Health Liverpool through working with our lab, we have access to thousands of tests. If there are specific tests you would like to discuss, please contact us. It is likely we would be able to source the test you need, giving you peace of mind whenever you need it.
